WWE Commentators To Be Re-Shuffled?

Rumors had been going around that the WWE would be switching the commentators for each brand. They plan to break up the tandem of Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler which had been together for god knows how long.

Many think of this as a bad idea. I however beg to differ. Why?

They plan to throw Jerry Lawler to ECW. He would be perfect there. He could work some matches since the show has a small roster. Tazz on the other hand would be good in RAW. WWE feels like the tandem of JR and The King is “too western”. I don’t think their tandem sucks but it would be nice to see some changes from time to time. And besides, they won’t be around forever so we might as well start seeing some changes as early as now.

As for the Smackdown team of Michael Cole and JBL, I have nothing against it. I think the two are perfect. I love how JBL does his commentaries. He’s got the credibility and the talent. As much as I’d love to see the guy back in the squared circle, I would much rather prefer if he just sat in his chair and yakked.

Oh, well… I don’t see any reason why JBL can’t perform and comment. He could do both (assuming his injuries are ok now). I love it everytime he does the Cothesline From Hell. It’s one of the simplest moves in the industry today and yet it’s always fun to watch.

I’d like to see Jonathan Coachman doing commentary as well. It’s good that he’s now the assistant GM of RAW but I’d much rather see him run his mouth and get his ass kicked.
