The Return Of Jericho, Edge and Flair

2007 November 22

Jeez… it finally happened. Thank god! Chris Jericho and Edge are finally back on their respective brands. And a week from now, Ric Flair will be back as well. I don’t know whether or not this would help boost WWE’s ratings but from this point on things are going to be interesting.

I don’t like the fact that Edge is gonna face Undertaker again. Is it just me or are the Undertaker’s matches getting more and more boring? It seems like the coolest part about his matches is his entrance. As soon as he hits the ring I change the channel already.

But I guess that’s the only match that makes sense for Edge right now.

Jericho on the other hand had been pushed to the top. I guess his mid-card days are over – for now at least. He’s gonna go at it with Randy Orton. I find that really interesting. I don’t remember the two ever facing off. I’m sure they already did, I just couldn’t remember when. Their new rivalry sparked new interest in me. Besides, I’m tired or Orton facing the same damn people over and over.

And they say Jericho’s got a new finisher move. I hope it’s not another submission move (though I believe that the Walls Of Jericho is one of the best looking submission moves eeeeeevarrr!!! – that was until it became a modified boston crab).

Then there’s Ric Flair’s return. I think he’s done enough for the wrestling biz. But I don’t want him to retire just like that. I think he should have one big match on Wrestlemania next year (going at it against Shawn Michaels would be cool). And give the guy one last title run. I’m not saying give him the championship belt. The Intercontinental would be just fine. Just give the guy a damn belt. They could build a storyline where an old guy is holding the belt and all the youngsters are after him but they’ll fail each time.

I’m not a creative genius but I find that idea really good.

About Chris Jericho being “the savior”… I don’t think so. As much as I love the guy, the only “savior” WWE is looking for is at the top of the box office charts. Yes, I’m talking about The Rock. Only his return would make the people tune back in to all three brands.

Yes and I saw it LIVE LAST MONDAY ON USA! I mark my ass off screaming! It was awesome! But I wish they made the return to a city where there are smart wrestling fans. The crowd was fucking dead! They just stood up because some of the smart fans stood up. But their faces was “who’s that?” Fucking young casual WWE fans.

Hey, you should see the current storyline they have for Flair right now. That’s good indication that Flair is gonna be with WWE up until WrestleMania (unless the WWE creative team pulls the plug on the new story). And in an interview, Flair said he doesn’t have any plans on jumping to TNA. He’s gonna be a WWE superstar up until he retires.
