The Kliq Can Suck My Diq
The wrestling world has been picking up steam recently, which is a good thing. I mean, besides the Benoit tragedy and the public scrutiny that the WWE Wellness Policy has been receiving, any news is good news.
Word has it that Triple H has been talking behind Chris Jericho’s back after his somewhat successful return in the WWE. While backstage during a house show,Triple was prepping up some of the younger guys in the locker room to expect a “sold out” show now that Jericho, referred to as the savior, has returned to the WWE fold weeks ago. Getting a little too brusque there, don’t you think Mr. Levesque? Later, he told the same thing to Shawn Michaels, who was at the show but was not obligated to wrestle. However, Michaels did not react to Triple H’s words.
On the other side of the wrestling spectrum, TNA Turning Point didn’t go as smoothly as planned due to Scott Hall missing the event. He cannot be reached inhis number, until he sent a text message informing everybody that he suffered for food poisoning. Management then asked Samoa Joe to cut a promo and take off heat from one of their major stars missing the show. Instead, Joe did a scathing promo that ran five minutes longer than planned, and consisted about things that he wanted to get out of his chest, which had something to do with die-hard TNA wrestlers not getting their due, and a couple of words directed to Kevin Nash, his partner that evening. After the match, a fuming Nash confronted Joe, which led to a shoving match that was quickly pacified. Talk about total non-stop action!
Interestingly enough, the events that transpired in WWE and TNA involved guys from the Kliq, a group of wrestlers composed of Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, and Paul Levesque who wielded creative control in the WWF. Apparently, they ended up looking like dicks, particularly Triple H and Nash.
However, one simply cannot overlook what these guys have done for the wrestling community in the greater part of the ’90s. Ever since the Kliq members have gone their separate ways in 1996, each has etched their names in wrestling history from their respected fronts.
Nash, along with Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan, heralded perhaps the most successful stable in the wrestling history with New World Order, and helped WCW lord over then-known WWF in the ratings. On the other hand, Michaels and Levesque helped ushered the Attitude Era with a stable of their own — Degeneration X. Ultimately, the WWF and D-X won the TV ratings in 1999, which led to the buyout of WCW. Nevertheless, the movements help establish these men as top dogs in their respective companies, with Nash and Hall in TNA, while Michaels and Levesque still in WWE.
The success early in their careers have allowed them to rest on their laurels on their current roles. However, their schtick of demoting and burying wrestlers, particularly Triple H’s and Nash’s, is getting old fast. Nash was known for his poor booking and backstage politicking in WCW, both of which led to the company’s demise. Although I’m sure he must’ve learned a great deal from that miserable failure, the fact that highly-talented AJ Styles is destined for mediocrity in TNA midcard purgatory is not cool on my book. I’m probably one of those casual wrestling fans who hoped that Samoa Joe didn’t back off from the things he said at Turning Point, which perhaps reflects the current state of wrestling — too much emphasis on hierarchy and backstage politics. Even though Nash and Joe have already mended fences, the damage has been done — Nash is still an ass.
Despite his awesome entrance and good promos, everybody knows that Triple H has quite an ego as well. His jealousy over The Rock (while he was still in the wrestling business has been well-documented), and he’s not particularly fond of sharing the Main Event spotlight with anybody, except Michaels. Sure, Triple H busts his ass every time he’s in the ring, one thing that I totally respect about him, but so does Jeff Hardy, who, like Styles, is stuck as a midcarder for life. I would be pleasantly surprised if Hardy won in their match-up this coming Pay-per-view, but Triple H simply won’t let that happen. Besides, he’s just pacing himself before WrestleMania 25, where he’ll face Randy Orton for the WWE title. Sad, but true.
I’m not here to piss all over what they’ve accomplished in the ring. Give credit where credit is due, Nash and Triple H has struck a chord to wrestling fans out there and made them the fans that they are today. However, they could stop looking out for themselves and develop more-deserving wrestlers in the fold.
And don’t get me started with Jeff Jarrett.

Here… My take on it… If you’re not down with it… The Kliq have two words for you… Yeah you know what is it…
whoa, you don’t diss the kliq there, boy.
WHat the hell are you talking about? Firstly, Jeff Hardy did go on to beat Triple H. Secondly, 2 f the biggest superstars in the business, Rany Orton and Batista were both put over by Triple H. Do you not remember how bad Batista looked before Triple H lost to him 3, yes thats right 3 times, including at Wrestlemania. GOing back to his klique days, I’m not sure yu remember but he was also the only one who got punished for the MGM incident. For months he was jobbing to every single mid-carder he faced. He tok it like a man and done what was good for the business. Then we’ve also had the Eugune business, that ill attemept to put him over also started with Triple H. This article is the most bias I’ve seen…
“whoa, you don’t diss the kliq there, boy.”
Oh, I couldn’t have said it better. The Kliq put wrestling on the map in the 90s. The people of the Attitude era – DX, NWO (and to give credit where it’s due, Austin and the Rock among others) – were the people who revolutionized the industry. Respect your betters, sir.
u fock how can u say triple H is a bad person he breaths wwe and if you have seen his interviews he says when his time is up he is happy to drop down the ranks. Personally i think he is still by far the biggest star in wrestling. Randy, Batista, Cena etc cant measure up to him.
you idiots… he wasn’t dissing Triple H as a wrestler… he’s dissing him as a person… Triple H’s ego is on steroids… all of us here on this site think Triple H is one of the wrestling greats… but backstage he has an attitude problem… and we’re not being biased… everyone in the WWE knows that for a fact. we know what the kliq was able to establish in the industry…
then what? says in his comment “Firstly, Jeff Hardy did go on to beat Triple H. Secondly, 2 f the biggest superstars in the business, Randy Orton and Batista were both put over by Triple H.” << yeah Hardy did beat Triple H… via rollover… Hardy wasn’t even able to connect the swanton bomb. Triple H would never get beat by someone like Hardy unless it looked like a god damn fluke. And yeah, Batista and Orton did beat Triple H… because they were Triple H’s fucking projects you retard… Of course they’d win. go figure…
then Marielle says in her comment “and to give credit where it’s due, Austin and the Rock among others) – were the people who revolutionized the industry. Respect your betters, sir.” << he did pay respect… read the article AGAIN…
then Nelly says in his comment “u fock how can u say triple H is a bad person he breaths wwe and if you have seen his interviews he says when his time is up he is happy to drop down the ranks” << if he’s really ready to come down the ranks then why is he on the fucking top? he could go down anytime he liked. he could put over some wrestlers more. he could go to smackdown if he wanted to. he’s in a position where he could do whatever he wants. i do think HHH is one of the biggest wrestlers out there but the guy won’t step down for anyone unless your name is Shawn Michaels or you’re his special project (Orton, Batista) or you’re WWE’s flavor of the month (Cena).
For real fans of HHH and the rest of the Kliq you guys sure can’t take criticisms well…
eew wrestling hahahha
digitaldaydream’s having another attack.
This is for What”. I wont even say hello to HHH, b/c he’s a brownnoser. He used to carry scott halls, shawn michaels, and kevin nash’s, BAGS. Thats how much of a pussy he is, he was up kevins ass with that big nose of his.
i came across this article today (4/18/09), a year and a half after it was published….and noticed that it said HHH was pacing himself for orton at WM25….im guessin you meant to say 24(orton/hhh/cena), but if not…how the hell did you know what the 25 main event was gonna be a year and a half ahead of time?
