Neutral Ground vs. Neutral Grounds
The other day, I had a chance to visit Neutral Ground, New York. It is located near my workplace in Manhattan.
Neutral Grounds Philippines is one of my hangout places in Manila but I had no idea that the name wasn’t authentic.
The place is so big that you’d feel like you’re in heaven as soon as you enter the store.. G.A.S (geek/gear acquisition syndrome) to the highest level! (warning: this only applies to geeks and gamers like us.)
I bought a set of Herbal Poultice cards ( 0 to cast ) for $1.70.. Worse, when I got home, I learned that I have the cards in my binder already..grr.
As soon as i reached the place, I really grabbed the opportunity to ask them if they’re really affiliated with NEUTRAL GROUNDS PHILIPPINES. According to the guy from the store, they knew about it. They were kinda pissed because when you searched for it in Google. It will appear right away instead of NEUTRAL GROUND NEW YORK.
Anywayz, I don’t mind who’s more “searchable” in Google,Yahoo or other search engines.
As long as Gamers like me recognize the name… why don’t we just.. COME ONE,COME ALL!

This is really funny. I have had several stories about this as well. There was this one time I was at GENCON and I was talking with a Wizkids bigwig, and then this guy from Neutral Ground New York came over and said… “Do you know that there is this guy from the Philippines, with Neutral Grounds as a company name?” with an incredulous expression on his face. The Wizkids officer then said, “Meet our Wizkids distributor in the Philippines.” Boy was his face red.
If anything our name doesnt have anything to do with them. We started Neutral Grounds before we were even into Magic, at that time we were only distributing miniature wargames, hence the origin of the name, being a battle ground. If our name comes up first, it’s probably because our site generates more traffic and is updated more often. They can probably shell out the money to have their site listed higher if they really wanted to. LOL.
