Eat My Words; I Take It All Back – I Heart WWE
Ok, I know I can’t seem to move on past wrestling. But what can I do? Between actual work and having a life, wrestling is the only thing I could squeeze in.
Anyway, I would like to take back some of the things I said. I was wrong. I’ve started to appreciate some of the things WWE has done. Let’s start with JeriShow.
Jeri-Show
I wasn’t a fan of these two at first but damn! These two sure have nice chemistry together. I’m starting to catch the trend now – WWE is matching great wrestlers with great speakers. Just look at Regal’s new faction and the tandem of MVP and Mark Henry. Not only does Jeri-Show put back a sense of prestige into the tag team division, they also help push other wrestlers from all three brands (don’t you wish they showed up at ECW as well?).
DX Reunion
It’s been done a million times and I have grown out of it – well, that was until I saw Shawn Michaels prancing like a kid towards the ring again. I’m not that big on the whole army-tank-entrance bit but who cares?
Them winning SummerSlam comes as no surprise. But they did what I wanted them to do – make Legacy stand out. For once Le-Gay-Cy actually looked like a force to be reckoned with. But the best part about a DX reunion? Teaming up with Vince McMahon himself! And I thought DX can’t do anything new.
The Miz
Now the whole loser-leaves-RAW makes sense. I still don’t agree with how everything went down but I can live with that now that I know someone’s getting a push. Creating new stars is the priority now and I’m guessing Miz is RAW’s latest project.
Regal’s Faction
Isn’t his faction the best thing since… well, I can’t remember a time when I was this excited about a faction forming. Regal’s loss at SummerSlam wasn’t only pathetic (story-wise, that is) but is a slap on the face of the whole ECW Championship itself. Remember the whole Chavo-Kane bout at WrestleMania a year or two ago? I’d love to see the day we get to see a really good ECW bout on pay-per-view.
With that said, the beat-down Christian faced at the hands of Regal, Kozlov and Jackson was just awesome. The trio’s formation was unexpected and different from any other stable. That makes them all the more promising. I just don’t know how they’ll go about that stable given that ECW doesn’t have a thick roster.
John Morrison
I was hoping he got the title shot after Jeff Hardy loses the belt. Oh, well I guess The Undertaker gets it first. He’s teaming with Matt Hardy now which I think is nothing more than a demotion from a relatively effective singles push. I don’t like him being left off SummerSlam as well. I mean, what’s the point of giving him all that attention if you’re not going to use him?
But, it’s still nice to see Morrison compete on a higher level than before.
Hardy – Punk
Oh. My. God. I have never seen a TLC that good. And to think that they really didn’t do anything new with it. It was just a combination of amazing spots and well-executed maneuvers. It was intense and everything else that it was supposed to be.
At least Hardy did something right before he left. Punk now looks like a legitimate star. I applaud the effort these two poured into the match. Just amazing.
Conclusion
All in all, I’m quite happy with what WWE has to offer now. It’s been so long since I had to watch all three brands again. One thing though – enough with the Hornswoggle-Chavo matches. All things have an expiration and this one is way past its due.

You have a hard-on for Morrison.
